Prior to working with me, my clients often think things like:

“What if this never changes or gets worse?”

“I’m afraid I’m going to lose everything that’s important to me.”

“I can’t decide what to do.”

“I feel like I’m losing control.”

“What would people think if they knew what was really going on with me?

These questions and feelings are completely valid…and I can help you with them.

I’m Andy Sussman.

I have deep experience in several evidence-based approaches and will customize your sessions to fit you, your circumstances, and your goals. My education and ongoing training are at the forefront of eliciting change from the start of treatment and into the future.

The psychotherapy approach I have developed involves a focus that utilizes the interplay of neuroscience, trauma, mind-body connections, in-the-moment experiential work as well as unconscious motivations. Some of this is reflected in the modalities of AEDP, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness and Psychodynamic Intersubjective Theory.

My clients describe me as patient, thoughtful, sometimes humorous, and gentle. I am also clear, direct, and will say what needs to be said, with compassion, when needed.

I am honored to share this life-changing work with my clients. Playing a part in another's transformation is a rare gift and it’s far more than a job. I am touched, and affected regularly, and care deeply about my clients.

You deserve more…

You deserve to feel at home in your world.
You deserve to feel proud and resilient.
You deserve to laugh more and love your life again.

I know how difficult it may be to take the first step to ask for help. I also know how much relief and change can be gained from it.
